Earlier this year (about three weeks ago), I planted large gourds, small gourds and some luffa sponges in my backyard. I planted 6 seeds of each. All of the small gourds came up, two of the large gourds and only one of the luffa sponges came up. They are suppose to climb, that is why I did not plant many, and also why I planted them eight feet apart. I hope they do well and produce something. The large ones are suppose to be birdhouse gourds, I'll just have to wait and see what I get or end up with.
