This is all about my garden and how I make it grow.

This is what I have done in my garden and my yard to try to make it grow and be as beautiful as it can be.

The sprouts are here

It may not look like much but the little sprouts popping out of the soil are radishes.  This is the first year my husband has planted the vegetable and if they do will it will not be the last.  We are planning to plant potatoes and a pepper or two, maybe even a tomato plant.  I don't know about you but nothing beats a good old fashioned tomato sandwich made with a homegrown tomato.  I just can't wait until spring gets here that's when the garden really starts producing and you can enjoy the harvest, talk about some good eating.

New year, new plants

Well this year my husband has started on the garden early. He started yesterday and with the help of his dad and a seed planter they planted radishes and made room for potatoes.  From what I have read the radishes take about a month to grow while it takes the potatoes several months.
Personally I do not like radishes but I really do like to watch them grow.  I think this year I will plant some other things to sell at the farmers market.  I was leaning toward house plants mainly since that is what I have the best of luck growing.  I have considered growing some herbs because sometimes they sell pretty well.  I was thinking about basil, or perhaps thyme.  I haven't really sat down and plotted out a plan as far as growing something.
I do know that this year I will start some bell pepper plants and more than likely some tomato plants.  Like radishes I do not like to eat bell peppers but I love to watch them grow.  The tomato plants I have a pressure cooker so I can any tomatoes that I have grown and honestly fresh tomatoes taste better in spaghetti sauce that those canned tomatoes you get at the store.
